Evanell Turner, 85, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away June 16, 2025, at Piggott Assisted Living in Piggott, Arkansas.

She was born on May 5, 1940, in Holly Island, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Everett and Eva Lillian (Kreigle) Beaver.

Evanell worked as a bank teller at Piggott State Bank for almost 60 years, retiring in 2023. She was a longtime member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She served in many roles at the church but most dear to her heart was serving in the nursery with the babies who all called her "Granny."

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Lester, John, Cloyse, and Robert Beaver.

Evanell is survived by her two sons, Vance (Autumn) Turner of Piggott, Arkansas, and Stuart Turner of Memphis, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Charlie Turner and Allie Turner; brother, James Beaver of Piggott, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Mike Book officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at Shady Grove.
