Fayeon Pounds, 94, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away March 25, 2022, at Piggott General Baptist Nursing Home in Piggott, Arkansas. She was born on September 18, 1927, in Broseley, Missouri, and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Lillie (White) Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband, RC Pounds; son, Richard Lynn Pounds; grandson, Ryan Pounds; daughter, Shelia Kay Pounds; and brother, Sterling Hill. Fayeon is survived by her daughter, Tami (Jim) Shaw of Pollard, Arkansas; grandchildren, Robbie Featherston, Kendra Gossett, Chad Featherston, Craig Shaw, Chance Shaw, Cody Shaw, Matthew Pounds, Nikki Skelton, and Steven Underwood; 18 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter, Ryan; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Gary Hancock officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Matt Pounds, Steven Underwood, Chad Featherston, Craig Shaw, Chance Shaw, and Trey Gossett. Cody Shaw will serve as honorary pallbearer. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
