Fredith Inelta Gower, 77, of Bono, Arkansas, formerly of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away July 16, 2017, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
She was born on May 26, 1940, in Wynne, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Dallard and Beddie Vine Choate.
She was united in marriage to George Washington Gower, Jr. on November 8, 1958, and to this union four daughters were born.
Her husband, George Washington Gower, Jr., preceded her in death on February 5, 2013, after 54 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bob Choate and her sister, Susan Choate.
Survivors include her daughters: Glenn Dola McGinnis of Bono, Arkansas, Cynthia Diana Gower of Houston, Texas, Roxanne Renee Price of Columbia, South Carolina, and Robin Nicole Gower of Dyersburg, Tennessee; ten grandchildren: Christopher, Stevie, Carmen, Kevin, Sara, Malarie, Tina, John, Austin, and Cody; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Stan Choate and wife Shirley of Sheridan, Arkansas; sister, Sherry Vance and husband Eddie of Sheridan, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20, 20, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Gary Hancock officiating. Burial is in Gravel Hill Cemetery near St. Francis, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Jeff McGinnis, Austin McGinnis, Mike Parrish, Whitney Edwards, Jimmy Choate, and Eddie Vance. Honorary pallbearers are Jimbo Brawner, Steve Bailey, Christopher Gower, and Kevin Bailey. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
