Obituary

Garry Lynn Estes passed away in Jonesboro, Arkansas, on May 10, 2026. He was born in Nimmons, Arkansas, on November 14, 1951.

Garry was preceded in death by his parents, Leborn and Sara Bratcher Estes; one brother, Lindell Ray "Butch" Estes; and one sister, Patsy Estes Mowery.

Survivors are his wife, Terrie Estes; a son, Josh Estes of Troy, Missouri; a son, Jason Estes of Ferguson, Missouri; and one daughter, Megan Estes Flower of Wentzville, Missouri.

He is also survived by a brother, Randall Estes and Phyllis Richey of Marmaduke, Arkansas; and his very close cousin, Terry Bratcher of Washington State.

Also, two very close nephews, Tim and Jennifer Mowery of Rector, Arkansas, and John and Cynthia Mowery of Piggott, Arkansas.

He is survived by a host of family and friends.

Garry graduated from Hazelwood High School in Florissant, Missouri, in 1969. He attended the University of Missouri, majoring in Horticulture.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, serving in Germany for two years as a specialist five transportation mechanic.

Garry retired from Emerson Electric. He was also an expert crappie fisherman, learning his fishing skills from his father.
