Gary Max Bradford, 76, of Rector, Arkansas, passed away February 5, 2025, at Piggott Community Hospital.
He was born on January 30, 1949, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Rudy and Lois (Tanner) Bradford.
Gary was united in marriage to Kim Stewart on May 20, 1989, and to this union a daughter, Amanda, was born.
Gary graduated from Piggott High School in 1969. He loved playing football during his high school career, playing under coach Zig Williams and being a part of a successful football team. Gary's competitive spirit extended to his love of coaching softball for several of his daughter's teams over the years. An avid hunter, Gary enjoyed most types of hunting including deer, coon, coyote, and duck. He was one of the best duck callers in the area. Over the years, Gary worked many different jobs. He was a heavy equipment operator, factory worker at Monroe and Utility, grounds keeper for the Sugar Creek Country Club, tractor driver for Danny Simpson Farms, water truck operator for Delta Cotton Coop, and caretaker for Mitchell Cemetery. He was a faithful attendee at Blooming Grove Missionary Baptist Church, and he loved his family, especially his daughter and grandchildren, although his animals were a close second.
Gary is survived by his wife Kim Bradford; daughter, Amanda Brannon and husband Jordan of Rector, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Addisyn, Austin, and Easton; and other relatives and friends.
