Gary Trout, 80, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away November 19, 2018, at his home in Piggott. He was born on December 20, 1937, in Albion, Michigan, and was the son of the late Paul and Marguerite Christian Trout. On October 15, 1988, Gary was united in marriage to Carolyn Sue Niswonger. His brother, Kenny Parker, preceded him in death. Gary lived in New York for many years, where he worked as a shoe salesman and a crane operator, later moving to Piggott, Arkansas. Gary worked for the Piggott Police Department serving as Patrolman from 1977 – 1989. In 1989 he was promoted to Sergeant until 1999 when he was promoted to Lieutenant and served in this capacity until he retired in 2000. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Trout; children: Gary Trout, Jr. of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Allen Trout of South Carolina, Bobby Trout of New York, Chet Trout of Illinois, Jimmie Hoggard of Piggott, Arkansas, Tammie Sears of New York, Tracy Trout of Illinois, Rebecca Young of Piggott, Arkansas, and Shelly Johndrow of St. Francis, Arkansas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Dave Trout and wife Pam of Michigan; sister, Kimberly Fairley and husband Jim of South Carolina; and many other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas. Cremation will follow.
