Genevieve Cox Hill, 91, of Greenway, Arkansas, passed away December 15, 2019, at her home in Greenway, Arkansas.
She was born on July 1, 1928, in Greenway, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Orley and Alda (Henager) Cox.
She was united in marriage to Grover Hardin Hill on July 10, 1946 and to this union two children were born.
Genevieve was a longtime member of the Church of Christ in Greenway, Arkansas. She was known for her excellent cooking. She enjoyed helping her husband garden. She loved to can Hardin's home-grown pickles and her prized pickles were auctioned off at the Annual Greenway Picnic. She also enjoyed sewing and baking.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orley and Alda Cox and her sister, Neva Bradford; and four brothers, Doyle Cox, Delbert Cox, Dorris Cox, and Randal Cox.
Survivors include her husband, Grover Hardin Hill of Greenway, Arkansas; son, Michael Lynn Hill and wife Sandra of Greenway, Arkansas; daughter, Brenna Arlene Linam and husband Ronnie of Rector, Arkansas; grandchildren, Timothy Roy Hill of Greenway, Arkansas, Jennifer Gladish and husband Randy of Paragould, Arkansas, Bradley Dean Linam and wife Lori of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Brian Wesley Linam of Rector, Arkansas, and Jarred Neil Linam and wife Hollie of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Gladish of Paragould, Arkansas, Zakary Gladish of Paragould, Arkansas, Sara Ann Jeffries and husband Brandon of Leesburg, Virginia, Whitney Beth Linam of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Holden John Linam of Rector, Arkansas, Braden Alexander Linam of Rector, Arkansas, Taylor Alise Marston and husband Caleb of Oak Harbor, Washington, Westin Dale Church of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; great-great granddaughters, Kyle Ann Jeffries of Leesburg, Virginia and Olivia Marie Marston of Oak Harbor, Washington; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at 11:00 am at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Art Smith, officiating and Paul McFadden assisting. Burial is in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Alan Branson, Larry Simpson, Newton Wells, Barry Boren, Ronnie Graddy, and Carl Lovelady. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
