George Roger Wellman, 73, of Corning, Arkansas, passed away January 23, 2021, in a car accident near Pollard, Arkansas.
He was born on January 30, 1947, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Thurman and Ruby Lee (Case) Wellman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Douglas Wellman, and son-in-law, Stacy Wade, Sr.
George was a farmer and truck driver. He loved driving his truck even when he was not supposed to. He also enjoyed fishing with his kids and grandkids.
Survivors include his daughters, Laura Wade of Middle River, Maryland and Stephanie Massey of Marble Hill, Missouri; special friend, Emily Nottingham; brother, H.A. Wellman and wife Janet of Piggott, Arkansas; grandchildren, Josh (Erin) Dodson of Shalimar, Florida, Claudia (James) Kostoplis of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Cody (Tessa) Lott of Campbell, Missouri, Cierra Lott of Holcomb, Missouri, Stacy Jr. (Heather) Wade of Cary, Maine, Luke (Jessica) Wade of Liberty, Maine, Keisha (Alex)Evans of Prospect Maine, and Autumn Wade of Liberty, Maine; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Little James, Corbin, Kylie, Cameron, Max, Kymber, Cashion, Kieran, Caleb, Hadley, Hazel, Kaiden, and Wyatt due in February; his fur baby, Rusty; many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Joe Cole and Gary Adams officiating. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
