Helen Maredia Dalton, 100, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away October 15, 2018, at Campbell General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Missouri.
She was born on September 10, 1918, in Campbell, Missouri and was the daughter of Marion Walter and Mary Orlena (Henderson) Polsgrove.
Maredia was united in marriage to Cecil William Dalton on March 26, 1937, and to this union two sons, Darrell and Gary, were born.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Orlena Polsgrove, father, Marion Walter Polsgrove; husband, Cecil William Dalton; brothers, Fred Polsgrove, Oather Polsgrove, Harold Polsgrove, and Clarence Cox; and sisters, Lois Boring, Murl Geer, and Margaret Abernathy.
Maredia worked for Cecil's Sundry in Piggott, Arkansas, and later worked many years at Pumpkin Hollow running the store.
Survivors include her sons, Gary Dalton of Campbell, Missouri, and Darrell (Ellen) Dalton of Saint Francis, Arkansas; grandchildren, Cara (John) Wright of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Laura (Bryan) Dalton Foltz of Martin, Tennessee, Jack (Pam) Dalton of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Robert (Mary) Dalton of O'Fallon, Missouri, Elizabeth Marie Dalton of Las Vegas, Nevada, great-grandchildren, MelanieWright, David Wright, Sarah Foltz, Jacob Foltz, Ashley (Alex) Christian, Abi Dalton, Molly Dalton, and Kayleigh Anne Dalton; brother, Floyd Polsgrove of Dexter, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 18, 2018, at 2:00 pm at the Gravel Hill General Baptist Church in St. Francis, Arkansas, with Bro. Randy Dalton officiating. Burial is in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas.
