Howard "Wayne" Crawford, 76. Of Piggott, Arkansas passed away April 30, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on January 12, 1947 in Rector, Arkansas and was the son of Howard and Jewel (Meredith) Crawford.
Wayne was united in marriage to the love of his life, Bonnie (Sherrell) Crawford on August 12, 1971 in Kennett mo.
Wayne served in the United States Army and was in Germany much of this time. He was of the Baptist faith. He was 5' 6" tall.
He had many interest and retired from Emerson electric company. He loved country music, westerns, and nature. Most of all he loved just talking with friends and family of days gone by.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Bonnie Faye Crawford. His parents Howard and Jewel; four brothers; Byron Crawford, Monty Crawford, Paul Crawford, and infant brother Jerry Crawford. One infant sister Alma Crawford. Mother and father in law Therrell and Beulah Sherrell.
Wayne is survived by one son, Chris (Patricia) Crawford of Piggott, Arkansas, two daughter's April (Kenneth) Smith of Piggott Arkansas and Jennifer Evans of Rector Arkansas. Nine grandchildren, Garrett Smith, Kenny (Chris) Smith, Meagan Smith, Amber (Grady) Clement, Autumn Crawford (Justin), Brittany (Christina) Morrison. Austin Crawford, Zach Crawford and Abby Crawford. Ten great grandchildren Ty, Landon, Averie, Gabby, Gracelyn, Brayden, Kali, Lane, Andrew, and Lukas. Three brothers, Dale Crawford, Joey Crawford, and Ken Crawford. Four sisters, Madge Callantine, Veda Holligan, Pat Dillard, and Gayla Rice. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday May 3rd, 2023 at 11 AM at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Piggott Arkansas. A private burial will be held at a later time at Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.
