JB Featherston, 85, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away July 18, 2017, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas. He was born on August 25, 1931, in Greenway Arkansas. He was the son of Douglas and Nora and beloved brother to Vonnell, Mozella, Carlene, Carlus, Raymond, Don, James, Wayne and Junior. He married Margaret Grace on January 25, 1956, and together they had two sons in Michigan. He and Grace returned to Piggott in 1984 and was a faithful friend and member of the General Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons, Michael and wife Sonia of San Jose, California and Kenneth Featherston of Chicago, Illinois; two grandchildren, Marilyn and husband Aaron Silcox and Timothy and wife Monique Featherston of San Jose, California; two brothers: James and Don Featherston; sister, Vonnell Dickerson; and he also leaves behind many other loved friends and relatives. Visitation will be held Friday, July 21, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service immediately following at the First General Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas, with Chris Brantley and Jack Cole officiating. Burial will be held in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Larry Featherston, Jerry Featherston, Tim Featherston, Jim Featherston, Tim Boyd, and Brent Yager. Honorary pallbearers are Fred Scheffler, Larry Holcomb, Gayle Simpson, Lester Edwards, Bill Davis, Gary Mann, Bob Featherston, and Kirby Johnson.
