Jackie Owen Blake, 93, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away April 23, 2024, at Piggott HealthCare & Senior Living in Piggott, Arkansas.

He was born on June 9, 1930, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Eric and Gladys Blake.

Jack married Jennie Renfro on December 20, 1952, and to this union, a son, Michael, was born.

Jack served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After the military, he worked for many years in Michigan as a Detroit Broach and Machine Company machine builder. He was a longtime Wright Chapel United Methodist Church member, where he enjoyed singing and playing the piano. Jack enjoyed the outdoors and especially enjoyed his time outside fishing. He and his wife Jennie enjoyed gardening, and many enjoyed their vegetable harvest and seeing their beautiful flowery showplace.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald Blake.

Jackie is survived by his wife Jennie Blake; son Michael Blake and wife Faviola of Blaine, Washington; grandchildren, Jennie and Jonathan Blake, Christine McKinney and Maureen Ortiz; all their wonderful great-grandchildren; sister, Roma Richardson of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation is Friday, April 26, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas. Graveside services will follow at Piggott Cemetery with John Heigle and Alex Rotszone officiating. Pallbearers will be Dennis Blake, Henry Hughes, Blake Richardson, Ben Richardson, John Richardson, and Michael Blake. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
