James Lynn Ellis, 71, of Rector, Arkansas, passed away February 24, 2019, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on January 4, 1948, in Leonard, Arkansas, and was the son of Robert and Virgie (Ellis) Riggs. James was united in marriage to Carrie Marie Ellis on June 4, 1973. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Riggs and grandparents, Orville and Ada Ellis. Survivors include his wife, Carrie Marie Ellis of Rector, Arkansas; mother, Virgie Riggs of St. Marys, Ohio; daughter, Mary Lynn (Jimmy) Householder of Piggott, Arkansas; son, Jerry (Jacquita) Anderson of Piggott, Arkansas; grandchildren, Ashley Anderson, Tristen Householder, and Hunter Householder; sisters, Linda (Stan) Meier of Maria Stein, Ohio, and Janet (Dwanye) Wolford of St. Marys, Ohio; brother, Bob (Barb) Riggs of St. Marys, Ohio; nephews, Greg Sawmiller of Kenton, Ohio, Archie (A.J.) Sawmiller of Celina, Ohio, Chad (Chris) Hicks of St. Marys, Ohio, Austin Riggs of St. Marys, Ohio; aunts, Vercie Ellis Roberts of St. Marys, Ohio, Shirley Ellis Howard of Rector, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 28, 2019, at 2:00 pm at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Marston Carpenter and Louie Cardell officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Sawmiller, Chad Hicks, Justin Chisolm, Allen Underwood, Danny Lee, Nick Green. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Danny Jones, Danny Archer, Nick Mesa and Lalo Mesa. Burial is in Harvey's Chapel in Marmaduke, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in Piggott, Arkansas.
