James "Jim" Seldon Pillow, 81, of Greenway, Arkansas, passed away January 7, 2019, at his home.
He was born on September 1, 1937, in Trumann, Arkansas and was the son of Seldon and Myrtle (Smith) Pillow.
Jim was united in marriage to Joyce Adavee Gilbee on September 17, 1960.
He was preceded in death by his father, Seldon Pillow; mother, Myrtle Pillow Digby; wife, Joyce Adavee Pillow; three brother, J.W. Pillow, Raymond Pillow and, Lloyd Pillow; and sister, Lula Mae Wright.
Jim worked as a bricklayer for many years. He later worked at Monroe in Paragould, Arkansas, where he was known as "Candyman."
Survivors include his daughter, Karen (Thomas) Stender of Greenway, Arkansas; daughter, Maria (Terry) Barner of Lafe, Arkansas; son, Shannon Pillow of Greenway, Arkansas; grandson, Jason, granddaughter, Amanda; brother, Bob (Sue) Pillow of Corning, Arkansas; sister, Allene Cronover of Horn Lake, Mississippi; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 10, 2019, at 11:00 am at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Pastor Aaron Neugebauer officiating. Burial is in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Dennis Pillow, Bill Erwin, Shannon Pillow, Allen Gardner, Gary Gilbee, and Benny Lueker. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Wednesday at 6:00 pm at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas.
