Janice Simpson, 67, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away November 16, 2022, at her home in Piggott, Arkansas.

She was born on June 4, 1955, in Grenada, Mississippi, and was the daughter of the late Billy Pryor and Virginia (Marter) Robbins.

Janice was united in marriage to Gayle Roger Simpson on June 4, 2008.

She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Pryor; mother, Virginia Robbins; and her sister, Jeannette Pryor; .

Janice is survived by her five sons, Aron (Cassie) Ayers of Los Alamos, New Mexico, Roger (Shelly) Simpson of McKinney, Texas, Jason (Amanda) Simpson of Piggott, Arkansas, Chris (Terica Allen) Simpson of Piggott, Arkansas, and Brian (Natasha) Simpson of Piggott, Arkansas; one daughter, Melinda (Jerry) Ford-Martin of Tillatoba, Mississippi; fourteen grandchildren, Sonya Ayers, Elena Ayers, Hudson Ayers, Ally Simpson, Mac Simpson, Nicholas Simpson, Joey (Jaymee) Simpson, Tripp Simpson, Gretchen Simpson, Lucas Simpson, Ben Hooten, Keelee Simpson, Kaitlyn Hodges, and Makayla Roach; three sisters, Ellen Robbins, Evelyn Pipkin, and Teresa Brooks; two step brothers, Gary Robbins and Robert Robbins; one step sister, Carrie Gregg; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the First General Baptist of Piggott in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Chris Brantley officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Jason Simpson, Chris Simpson, Mason Mack, Jeff Benbrook, Darryl McCrillis, and Mark Robbins. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Saturday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at First General Baptist Church of Piggott in Piggott, Arkansas.
