Jim Underwood, 72, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away April 5, 2023, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

He was born on December 2, 1950, in Steele, Missouri, and was the son of the late Howard Elton and Mae (Smotherman) Underwood.

Jim was united in marriage to Donna Mobley on September 18, 1985.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jim farmed most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, car shows and telling stories.

Jim is survived by his children, Jimmie Wayne (Joyce) Underwood, Ronnie (Laura) Underwood, Steven (Melissa) Underwood, Angel (Troy) Sullivan, Johnny (April) Underwood; grandchildren: Damien, Paige, Emily, Nick, Bradly (Haley), Brock (Emily), Kierra, Katie, T.J., Desire (Dylan), Rachelle, Dalton, Madison (Dustin), Sebastion, Aliza, Homer Elton, and Lacie; great-grandchildren: Avery, Mason, Ross, Case, Naveah, Haevan, Luca, MaeKelynne, Jayden, Brogan, Brydon, Bryleigh, Izzy-Jane; two brothers, Howard Melton Underwood, Ronald Eugene (Barbara) Underwood; two sisters, Shirley Jackson and Belinda Milloway; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas. Burial is in in Lloyd Cemetery in Holcomb, Missouri. Pallbearers will be Eric Bivens, Bradly Underwood, Brock Underwood, Dalton Underwood, and Sebastion Underwood, Johnny Underwood. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
