Jo-Ann Hoots, 77, of Rector, Arkansas, passed away October 12, 2020, at her home in Paragould, Arkansas. She was born on December 18, 1942, in St. Francis, Arkansas, and was the daughter of George and Eulale (Dalton) Clark. Jo-Ann was united in marriage to Gerald W. Hoots on June 13, 1959 and he preceded her in death on December 8, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Hazel McLeskey. Jo-Ann was a Registered Nurse and worked at the Piggott Community Hospital and many nursing homes around the surrounding areas. She loved to read and especially enjoyed playing computer games. Survivors include her children, Jason Wayne Hoots and wife Cyndi of Paragould, Arkansas, Andy Hoots and wife Debra of Star City, Arkansas, and Cindy Patton and husband Roy of Rector, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 16, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Mark Book officiating. Pallbearers are Jason Hoots, Andy Hoots, David Hoots, Roy Patton, Stephen Speer, and Venie Cirilo. Burial is in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
