Jo Anna (Johnson) Brummett, age 80, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away November 7, 2017 after 5 years of suffering with diabetes, blindness, and alzheimer's. She spent the last three years at Shady Oaks Healthcare in Thayer, Missouri.
She was born July 11, 1937 to the late Wm Orvis and Myrtle (Haywood) Johnson.
She formerly worked as a pathology assistant at Doctors Regional Medical Center and Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She loved horses and traveling the country.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband W. A. "Dub" Brummett, son Charles Brummett and grandchild who died as an infant.
She is survived by her youngest son, Brian Brummett and his girlfriend of 28 years, Kathy Berry, daughter-in-law Robyn Brummett, brother Jerry Johnson and wife Barb, three grandchildren, 3 step-grandsons, four great-grandchildren, and 7 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas with Bro. Gary Hancock officiating. Burial will be held in the Qulin Cemetery in Qulin, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. and continue until service time. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
