Joe Gene Litzelfelner, Sr, age 83, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 in Keller, Texas. Preceded in death by a son (Joe), daughter-in-law (Janet) and granddaughter (Celeste'), his parents and eight siblings. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty, four children: Denise (Mike) Ellis, Todd (Jerry Lewis) Litzelfelner, Holly (John) Sasiadek and Jill (Vic) Zanetti, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three siblings: Jack (Judy) Litzelfelner, Phyllis (Charles) Vickrey, and Barbara Gorski and 2 brother-in-laws: Gary (Joy) Gilbert and Donald (Betty) Gilbert. Joe was born in Jackson, Missouri. After graduating from Jackson High School, he served in the U.S. Navy, expanded the family poultry business into Piggott, Arkansas and later managed businesses in Kennett, Missouri. He retired in Texas to be near his children and was an avid golfer throughout his life. Burial will be at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
