John Cochran, of McDougal, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at the age of 94 years.
He was born on August 13, 1918, in Crockett, Arkansas, to the late George and Sis (Easterwood) Cochran.
He was united in marriage to Anna B. Lawson Cochran on June 28, 1936. To this union a daughter, Imagene, was born. Anna preceded him in death on August 23, 2003.
He was of the Baptist faith and attended True Light Missionary Baptist Church in McDougal, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anna, one brother, Virgil; and one sister, Sadie Romine.
Survivors include his daughter: Imagene White and husband Ray of Corning, Arkansas; one granddaughter: Trina Phillips and husband Jerry of Corning, Arkansas; two great-grandchildren: Chelsea Phillips of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Kris Goodman of Paragould, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas with Brother Leon Harvey officiating. Pallbearers will be: Jerry Phillips, Terry Phillips, Garry Phillips, Britt Allmon, Dewayne Phelan, and Kris Goodman. Honorary pallbearers are: Marshell Little, Doyne Neeley and Sonny Rigdon. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be September 12, 2012, at 6:00 P.M. Hoggard & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
