John Mabrey, 84, of Fagus, Missouri, passed away February 13, 2023, at his home in Fagus, Missouri.

He was born on August 2, 1938, in St. Louis, Missouri, and was the son of the late John and Lura Mabrey.

John was united in marriage to Joyce Schrader on March 7, 1961.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Ann Mabrey Davis on March 4, 1989.

John worked for Commercial Complete Carriers for 25 years. He was a Trustee and dedicated worker of the Fagus Baptist Church.

John is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Mabrey; son, Bobby Mabrey and wife Lory; four grandchildren Shauna Davis Baker, Amber Davis Cole, Luke Cook, and Noah Scott; brother, Jimmy Mabrey; sister, Janett Kearby; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Jack Cole officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Max Tompkins, Colby Tompkins, Nick Short, Roger Baxter, Cameron Welty, and Jake Baxter. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
