Johnnie Marie Duford, 83, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away December 28, 2022, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

She was born on October 31, 1939, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Coleman and Johnnie Irene (Allen) Duncan.

Johnnie was united in marriage to Paul Williamson and he preceded her in death in 2000. She later married Glenn Duford and he preceded her in death in 2016.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Terry Jo Collins; her parents; the father of her five children, Gale Eugene Collins; one sister; and two brothers.

Johnnie worked as a nurses aide at the nursing home in Piggott for many years. She enjoyed nature and hiking with her husband Glenn. Also she enjoyed country music and dancing. She loved to tell jokes and visiting with family and friends.

Johnnie is survived by her daughter, Connie Collins of Piggott, Arkansas; three sons, Gale (Linda Grandan) Collins of Decatur, Illinois, Glenn Collins of Piggott, Arkansas, Marty (Tina) Collins of Decatur, Illinois; twenty grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren, Avery Jacob, Jayden, and Jaylana; and many other relatives and friends.

Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of cremation the arrangements. A family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
