Joseph Eugene 'Joe' Johnson, 65, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Friday, July 24, 2015, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born on May 21, 1950, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Wallace and Ina Louse 'Lamb' Dunscombe Johnson. He was united in marriage to Barbie Ebbeson on August 19, 1972, and to this union two daughters were born. Joe was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church in Piggott, Arkansas. He enjoyed watching Cardinal games, playing golf, and spending time with his grandkids. Survivors include his wife, Barbie of Piggott, Arkansas; daughters, Kimberley Donner and husband Chad of Piggott, Arkansas, and Natalie Kennedy and husband John of Piggott, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Blakely, Archer, and Camden; brother, Wallace Johnson and wife Erna of Forrest City, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 26, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church with Andy Newbill officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation begins Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
