Juanita Wood, 80, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away October 7, 2021, at General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Missouri.
She was born on June 7, 1941, in Alabama, and was the daughter of the late Luther and Jessie (Bell) Pinkard.
Juanita was united in marriage to James Julian Johnson and to this union a daughter was born. James preceded her in death at an young age. On May 28, 1996, she was united in marriage to Ira Wood. Ira preceded her in death on January 23, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Lear Feltman, Rex Pinkard, Doris Thompson, Eugen Pinkard, Clara Mae Petigo, Earlene Claxton, Donnie Pinkard, Margratt Moore, and Nathan Pinkard.
Juanita is survived by her daughter, Diane McAulay of Piggott, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Albrie Faris, Amber (Ashlin) Brickey, and Selena (Christopher) Raines; five great-grandchildren, Kiyonna Kennedy, Jaxon Brickey, Alyssa Hon, Kelsey Goodale, and Brooklynn Lorton; four sisters, Buner Weeks, Joyce Carry, Marie Garrison, and Laura Pinkard; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Charles Richardson officiating. Burial will be held at IOOF Cemetery in Charleston, Missouri. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas.
