Kenneth Lee Orr, 86, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away November 29, 2025. Affectionately called Papaw and Papa by his family. He was born June 22, 1939 in Clay County, Arkansas.
He was the son of Orville and Florence Orr, and was raised alongside three siblings, Opal, Barbara, and Jerry Orr. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jonnie J. Orr, both of his parents, and his two sisters, Opal J. Daffron and Barbara MacArthur.
He attended O'Neal Road Church of Christ.
Kenneth is survived by his brother, Jerry Orr of Bentonville, Arkansas; his children Joyce and Britt Freeman of Jackson, Mississippi, Neil and Sandra Orr of Gulfport, Mississippi, Kenneth M and Alissa Orr of Jacksonville, Florida; 11 grandchildren including Christopher Breland, Eric and Kevin Freeman, Patrick and Samantha Orr, Michael and Jessie Merritt, Kayla Galecki, Austin, Megan, and Jonathan Orr; and 22 Great Grandchildren.
He joined the Navy right out of high-school and was on the U.S.S. Independence in North Fork, Virginia. He served 2 years, 6 months, and 13 days. He got out of the service in Pensacola, Florida. He worked in outside sales for 50 years, enjoyed umpiring girls softball, and golfing. He was loved by many and will be missed for years to come.
