Kurt Wayne Slaton, 53, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away November 23, 2018, at his home in Piggott, Arkansas.
He was born on May 31, 1965, in Flint, Michigan and was the son of the late Wesley and Shirley (Pfiefer) Bell.
Kurt enjoyed working with his hands. He drove a tractor for many years and also worked hauling dirt for Williams Land Leveling. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and drinking.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Gifford Slaton; two daughters, Andrea Yount and husband Matt of Pollard, Arkansas, Alexandra Hall and husband J.T. of Weiner, Arkansas; grandchildren, Avery Webb, Karter Webb, Jackson Webb, and Maddox Yount all of Pollard, Arkansas, and Jagger Hall and Amelia Hall both of Weiner, Arkansas; two brothers, Wesley Steven Slaton of Dexter, Missouri, and Christopher Lee Slaton of Grenada, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with cremation to follow. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
