Laveda Ilean Whiteside, 65, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away July 15, 2026, at her home in Piggott, Arkansas.

She was born on December 19, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri, and was the daughter of Charles and Rosalie (Stowers) Crafton.

Laveda was known for her love if solitude, often finding peace and joy in the quiet moments spent at home. She loved spending many evenings immersed in her favorite series, whether it was the thrill of gripping drama or the laughter from a comedy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Crafton; mother, Rosalie Crafton; sister, Delta Crafton; .

Laveda is survived by her son, Bryce Whiteside of Campbell, Missouri; grandson, Xander Wayne Delisle; sister, Christine (Steve) Wall of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.

Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the cremation arrangements.
