Lawanda Faye Flanigan was born July 5th, 1932 in Ogelsville Missouri, daughter of Ralph and Opal Culver Morris. Faye married James Huey Flanigan on March 2nd 1950. She was the family matriarch and raised her family on a farm in Pollard, Arkansas. Faye died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones,Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019 at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas. She is now in the embrace of our Lord and reunited with her husband James Huey Flanigan and daughter Carolyn Faye Flanigan who predeceased her. Faye was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Faye is survived by her four children James Edward Flanigan and wife Phyllis of Ogelsville, Missouri, Deborah Kay Helms and husband Royce of Smithville, Arkansas, Patricia Ann Sprenger and husband Roger of Madison, Alabama, and Pamela Beth Morgan and husband Neal of Nimmons, Arkansas; and her brother Don Morris of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Faye was blessed with grandchildren Brandy Brewer of Memphis, Tennessee, Kari Panebianco and husband Michael of McKinney, Texas, Heather Garrett and husband Brett of Clifton Park, New York, Trae Brewer and wife Danielle of Smithville, Arkansas, Jim Flanigan and wife Jessica of Bono, Arkansas, Chad Brewer and wife Samantha of Atkins, Arkansas, Kaitlin Rau and husband Walter of Greenway, Arkansas, Kayla Rahn and husband Mason of Piggott, Arkansas, and Alex Helms of Smithville, Arkansas.
Great-grandchildren: Jessica, Hannah, Anthony, Jackson, Katie, Eli, Ethan, Piper, Emili, Hadyn, Trevor, Sadie, Sophie, and Colt; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5th 2019, at the Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home, in Piggott, Arkansas with Brother Jerry Morgan officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Alex Helms, Trae Brewer, Chad Brewer, Jim Flanigan, Mason Rahn, and Walter Rau. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home, of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, prior to services at Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home.
