Louise Dalton, 94, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away August 22, 2023, at Belle Meade in Paragould, Arkansas.
She was born on February 10, 1929, in Gibson, Missouri, and was the daughter of Marvin and Lola (McFarland) Sanford.
Louise was united in marriage to Ralph James Dalton on October 6, 1947, and to this union two children were born.
She was a lifetime member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church. Louise was a dedicated member who loved church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and taking care of babies.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph James Dalton; brothers: JC Sanford and Charles "Bud" Sanford; sisters: Emma Harp and Jackie Stewart.
Louise is survived by her son, Randy Dalton of Paragould, Arkansas; daughter, Barbara Moody and husband Larry of Piggott, Arkansas; grandchildren: Miranda Cavaness and husband Tim of Paragould, Arkansas, Chris Moody and wife Sarah of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Casey Dalton of Paragould, Arkansas; great-grandchildren: Carter Cavaness, Alayna Cavaness, Avery Moody, Camden Moody, and Easton Moody; sister-in-law, Patsy Sanford; brother-in-law, Wayne Stewart; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Mark Book officiating. Burial is in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Larry Moody, Chris Moody, Tim Cavaness, Carter Cavaness, Phillip Wagster, and Sean Shipley. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Dalton, Darrell Dalton, Jack Dalton, and Terry Olds. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
