Lula Mae Coil, 95, of Rogers, Arkansas, formerly of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away January 1, 2022, at Highland Healthcare of Bella Vista in Bella Vista, Arkansas.
She was born on February 28, 1926, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lucy (Bridges) Landrum.
Lula was united in marriage to Emmett Howard Coil on January 19, 1947, and to this union two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Coil; son, David Neil Coil; sisters, Halla B Roden, Anna Beard; half sister, Elgie; and brothers, David Landrum, Porter Landrum, and Victor, Landrum.
Lula was very personable and never met a stranger. She retired after nearly 30 years at Silver Dollar City, where she made many new friends each year.
Lula is survived by her son, Stephen Coil and wife Marilyn of Bella Vista, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Judy Hample of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Brett Coil and wife Casey of Jones, Oklahoma, Terrence Coil and wife Julie of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Misty Perry and husband Tim of Valencia, California, and Stacey Coil of Austin, Texas; great-grandchildren, Payton Coil, Avery Coil, Parker Coil, Owen Coil, Bailey Coil, Scarlett Perry, and Savannah Perry; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas. Burial will follow in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Brett Coil, Terrence Coil, Payton Coil, Parker Coil, Owen Coil. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation begins Saturday at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
