Madelyn Carol Holifield, 82, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed from this life on June 8, 2025, at the Piggott Community Hospital. She was born on August 29, 1942.

She was united in marriage to Larry Willard Holifield in 1959, and to this union six children were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Edith Ezell; two brothers, Larry and Donnie Ezell; and one daughter, Teresa Ann Holifield.

She is survived by five children: Sheila Vaughn, Shary Holifield, Shelly Causey (Larry), Shane Holifield, and Shawn Holifield (Daisy); two sisters, Margie McKenney (Roger) and Valda Willie; and one brother, Charles Ezell.

Grandchildren: Clayton Bell (Chyanne), Tabitha Flood (Anthony), Jessica Johnson (Derren), Machelle Vaughn, Jackie Vaughn, Jr., Danny Seal (Amber), Sarah Seal, Emily Stallings (Jordan), Shawn Alan Holifield, Cody Holifield, Jonathan Boester and family.

Great-grandchildren: Remington Ramsey, Alexis Ramsey, Austin Seal (Sierra), Levi Seal, Vincent Stallings, Caleb Book, Presley Flood, Hannah Edmunds, Bryleigh Sisson, Peyton Sisson, Lawson Bell, Jasper Booker, Haley Bell, Gracie Parrish, Shalyn Parrish, Katlyn Samples, Mason Mowery, and Blakely Vaughn.

Great-great grandchildren: Keagan Samples and Hazelyn Samples. Lots of nieces and nephews and many other relatives.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Arkansas, with Bro. Charles Richardson officiating. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of arrangements.
