Tressie Marcelene McCord Schultz, 81, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away February 19, 2021, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was born on June 9, 1939, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Melvin and Ollie (Hall) McCord. She was united in marriage to Kenneth R. Schultz on December 25, 1957, and to this union two sons were born. Marcy was a woman of the faith. She enjoyed time with her friends, traveling and meeting new friends She attended church activities regularly. She enjoyed reading and loved to work crossword puzzles. She was a big sports fan especially for the Tennessee Volunteers. She had a soft spot in her heart for her grandson's and was known as a very positive person. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Kenneth R. Schultz; brother and sister-in-law, Boyce and Gerry McCord, sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Steve Denney; brother-in-law, Finis Stewart. Survivors include her sons, Stan Schultz and wife Tracy of Loudon, Tennessee, and Nick Schultz and wife Beth of Knoxville, Tennessee; two grandsons, Andrew Schultz of Loudon, Tennessee, and Patrick Schultz of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Lola Dean Stewart of Kissimmee, Florida; and she was loved by numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be, Nick Schultz, Stan Schultz, Patrick Schultz, Andrew Schultz, Randy McCord, and Keith Pettit. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
