Marilyn Joan Evans, 84, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away September 30, 2022, at Rector Nursing and Rehab in Rector, Arkansas.

She was born on February 9, 1938, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Mack and Virgie (Nettles) Evans.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lee Evans; sisters, Pauline Abney and Maxine Morgan; and niece, Donna Hunt.

Marilyn was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas.

Marilyn is survived by her nieces, Ann Carman (Carl), Nancy Hyde, Phyllis Richey (Randy), Mary Burton (Mickey), Paula Parton (Donald), Jill Midkiff (Byron), and Connie Baker; many great and great-great nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Jack Cole officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
