Mark Forrest, 76, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away October 26, 2021, near Conway, Arkansas.
He was born on August 29, 1945, in Piggott, Arkansas and was the son of the late Hershell and Gladys Juanita (McLeskey) Forrest.
Mark lived a life of stories. Stories that he lived out, told often, and even recently started writing down. He was full of funny one-liners, thousands of movie quotes, and insightful thoughts on subjects great and small. He also had a passion for music, books, riding mountain roads, Cardinal's baseball, photography and most of all, things that involved a trio of his favorite things, Fun, Travel and Adventure.
All who knew him will remember his laugh and the way he could light up any room with a smile and tip of his hat. He was spontaneous, jovial, and took being a Dad very seriously. He is survived by his daughter Caitlin Forrest (and her family Neil and Enzo) of Venice, Florida; his sister, Phyllis Forrest of Festus, Missouri; former wife Shelia Forrest of Bunn North Carolina; and best friend Edward Hogan of Hertford North Carolina, as well as many other relatives and friends.
In addition to countless life achievements, Mark served honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart. No services are planned, as Mark really hated funerals. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, was in charge of the cremation arrangements.
