Martha Virginia Long, 89, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away February 14, 2016, at the Piggott Community Hospital.
She was born on April 11, 1926, in Boydville, Arkansas and was the daughter of the late James Homer and Lola Redd Harris.
She was united in marriage to Eulas Long on April 8, 1950. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2003.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Edward Harris and Marvin Junior Harris and his nephew Larry Gene Harris.
Survivors include her nephews, Marvin Harris of London, Arkansas, and Carl Long and wife Trish of Rector, Arkansas; nieces: Beverly Scott and husband Alan of Piggott, Arkansas, Donna Poe and husband Randy of Pollard, Arkansas, and Janice Ingram of Rochester, Michigan; and great nieces and nephews: Thomas Harris, James Fry and wife Amanda, Jessica Cossey and husband Lee and Craig, Kristen and Ben Scott; great-great nieces and nephews: Rylee, Will, Lane, Logan, Lathan, Wyatt, and one 'on-the-way'; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Kevin Murray and Bill Waterman officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Richie Culver, Cody Culver, Carlos Crittenden, Van Taylor, Lee Cossey, and James Fry. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation begins at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday until service time.
