Mary Jane Dees, 68, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away January 6, 2017, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas. She was born on February 24, 1948, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Edgar and Mildred Arehart Reed. She was united in marriage to Dale Ray Dees on September 27, 1962, and to this union three sons were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Ray Dees; her sisters: Bonnie Thrasher, Dorothy Reed, and Velma Duncan; brothers: James Reed, Gerald Reed, and Elbert Reed. Mary was a member of the United Pentecostal Church for 33 years. She is survived by her three sons: Dale Junior Dees of Paragould, Arkansas; Carl Ray Dees and girlfriend Amber of Piggott, Arkansas, and Jason Matthew Dees and wife Kerry of Paragould, Arkansas; two sisters: Zettie West of Piggott, Arkansas, Betty Phillips of Piggott, Arkansas; brother, Robert Reed of Piggott, Arkansas; grandchildren: Rodney, Andrew, Cody, Airel, Dillan, Zach, Alexia, Sara, and Jordyn; great-grandchildren: Chance, Cole, Brylee, Peyton, and Oaklee; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 9, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. in the First Pentecostal Church in Piggott, Arkansas, with Jay Masterson officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Rodney Dees, Dillan Dees, Randall Trammell, Chris Reed, Vance Turner, and Marty McMillin. Honorary pallbearers are Dustin Arbuckle and Gavin Chavez. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Sunday, January 8, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
