Mary Jesse Greene, 84, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born March 22, 1926, in Blue Cain, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Jess and Matilda Poppy French. She was united in marriage to Earl Bishop "Pat" Greene on October 28, 1948, and to this union two children were born. Mary Jesse was a long and faithful member of the 1st Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas. Her husband Pat Greene and her son, Kent French Greene preceded her in death. Her daughter, Jessica Sue Greene of Piggott, Arkansas, survives. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 17, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Rob Welborn officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tom Sneed, Larry Winberry, Tommy Hardcastle, Keith Wolverton, Dr. Jerry Muse, and Travis Boyd. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Ballard and James "Bo" Brandon. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.
