Mary Ruth Holloway, 84, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away September 15, 2020, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
She was born on February 5, 1936, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Montgomery "Gum" and Gladys (Book) Hunter.
Mary was united in marriage to Elbert Holloway on August 19, 1981.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elbert Holloway; son, James "Jimmy" Arthur Cox; and brother, Horton Hunter.
Mary loved to read books and enjoyed quilting and knitting.
Survivors include her sons, John "Buddy" Louis Lee, II and wife Julie of Piggott, Arkansas; daughter, JoAnn Bishop and husband Jim of Fairborn, Ohio; grandchildren, Jennifer Haddix and husband Mike of Chewey, Oklahoma, Brandy Ward and family of Pennsylvania, Ashley Bageant of St. Francis, Arkansas, James Harry Bishop of Fairborn, Ohio, and Christopher James Lee of Piggott, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Arikka Ruth Ann Watson, Ezekiel Michael Haddix, Lexus Bishop, Clayton Coleman, Logan Coleman, and Kimber Lynn Moubray; brother, John D Hunter of Madison Heights, Michigan; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 18, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Book officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date at Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of arrangements.
