Mary Elizabeth Shepherd, 84, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Missouri. She was born January 25, 1928, in McDougal, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Earl and Nellie Thompson Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Bobby Ray Jenkins and Euel Jenkins, Jr.; and sister, Lucille Jenkins. She is survived by her son, Jack and Liliana Shepherd of Ocala, Florida; daughter, Kay Baker and husband Bob of Piggott, Arkansas; grandchildren: Jacqueline M. Headlee of Little Rock, Arkansas, Chad A. Holifield of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Justin R. Shepherd, Cody A. Shepherd, and Kayla N. Shepherd all of Ocala, Florida, Seth R. Coffman of Conway, Arkansas, and Wade Baker of Conway, Arkansas; great grandchildren: Hannah L. Headlee and Hayden Headlee both of Little Rock, Arkansas, LeLani Shepherd and Mia Shepherd of Ocala, Florida, and Tyler Holifield of Jonesboro, Arkansas; brother, Daniel Jenkins and wife Darlene of Rogers, Arkansas; three sisters: Minnie Coshatt of Westland, Michigan, Lucy Davis of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Earlene Bradberry and husband Roger of Piggott, Arkansas; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Jerry Morgan officiating. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
