Mary Estelle Vincent, 90, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010, at Murphy Health and Rehabilitation Center in Piggott, Arkansas.
She was born January 12, 1920, near St. Francis, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late John Henry and Ollie Luella Morris Pittman.
Estelle was a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas, and was a member of the Eastern Star. She retired from Brown Shoe Company in 1982.
She was united in marriage to Clinton Carmon Vincent and to this union two children were born. He preceded her in death in 1973.
She was also preceded in death by her brother Leland Pittman and son-in-law, Herlen Pruett.
Survivors include her children, Sonnie Vincent and wife Norma of Wentzville, Missouri, and Nancy Pruett of St. Charles, Missouri; four grandchildren, Lisa Sutton and husband David of Wentzville, Missouri, Phil Pruett of Las Vegas, Nevada, Debra Javaux of St. Charles, Missouri, and Todd Pruett of St. Louis, Missouri; six great-grandchildren, Stefanie Kraml, Jessie Javaux, Jay Javaux, Landon Javaux, Dryden Pruett, and Rhett Pruett; one great great granddaughter, Jodiee Javaux; brother, Hillard Pittman of Piggott, Arkansas; sister, Elwanda Mann of Piggott, Arkansas; special niece, Ann Kilbreath; special caretaker, Pat Kilbreath; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 5, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. in Hoggard & Sons Chapel with O.H. Brooks officiating. Burial is in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will begin Friday at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to be made to the Baptist Student Union in Jonesboro, Arkansas, or to Gideons International.
