Maudie Mae Coomer, 91, of Greenway, Arkansas, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Piggott, Arkansas. She was born on June 11, 1921, in Bee Branch, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Omer Guy and Bessie Mae (Allison) Graddy. She was united in marriage to Rual Bishop Coomer on July 12, 1938, and to this union four children were born. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, S.J. Graddy and Herschel Graddy, and sisters, Mabel Cox and Bernice Moore. Survivors include children: Joan McCoy and husband Larry of Greenway, Arkansas, Gaylon Coomer and wife Glenda of Greenway, Arkansas, Kent Coomer and wife Donna of Greenway, Arkansas, and Brent Coomer and wife Karen of Piggott, Arkansas; eight grandchildren: Kim Perkins and husband John, April Jackson and husband Phillip, Dane Coomer and wife Tonya, Brock Cline and husband Mike, Landon Coomer, Joel Coomer and wife Andrea, Jordan Coomer, and Spencer Coomer; great grandchildren: Jay and Sam Perkins, Eli, Emma Kate, Zane, and Zander Jackson, Taylor Coomer, Harper Mae Cline, and Mollie Coomer; sisters-in-law: Shirley Graddy of Greenway, Arkansas, Phoebe Wright of Collinsville, Illinois, and Neva Coomer of Fredericktown, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Jerry Morgan and Richard Akins officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers are Dane Coomer, Landon Coomer, Joel Coomer, Spencer Coomer, Jay Perkins, Sam Perkins, and John Perkins.
