Maxine Hill Book, 91, of Piggott, Arkansas, departed this life on May 9, 2021, surrounded by her family at her home. She was born Sunday morning, February 2, 1930, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Lawrence and Beatrice (Smith) Hutchison. On May 31, 1947, Maxine was united in marriage to Herbert Hill, and to this union four children were born. Herbert preceded her in death in 1975. In 1977, Maxine married Lowell Book. He preceded her in death in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Lynda Daub, and grandchild, Shane Hill. Survivors include her children, Steve Hill and wife Penny of Piggott, Arkansas, David Hill of Piggott, Arkansas, Donna Sutton and husband Keith of Little Rock, Arkansas, Mark Book and wife Gayla of Piggott, Arkansas, Mike Book and wife Theresa of Brookland, Arkansas, and Randy Book and wife Jeanette of Dallas, Georgia; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends. Maxine was a loving servant of God a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Piggott. Maxine's greatest joy was making memories with her family. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Piggott in Piggott, Arkansas, with Rev. Joe Cole and Rev. John Hiegel officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Jody Petty, James Hill, Chris Book, Troy Harwell, David Gregory and Noah Gregory. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church.
