Obituary

Melvin Dallas Wagster son of the late Sam Lafayette Wagster and Hautie May Terry in Cooter, Missouri. Dallas departed this life October 19, 2023, at his home in Holcomb, Missouri, at the age of 81. Dallas was united in marriage to Jean Glenn on May 10, 1960, in Cooter, Missouri. They were married for 47 years. Jean preceded Dallas in death in 2007.
Dallas is survived by his two daughters, Pam and Steve Swain of Kennett, Missouri and Karen and Kenny Tucker of Kennett, Missouri; one son, Jeff and Rebecca Wagster of Kennett, Missouri; six grandchildren: Melissa Swain of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jordan Wagster of Kennett, Missouri, Katelyn Shearer of Wetumpka, Alabama, Korben Tucker of Kennett, Missouri, Mark Wagster of Oklahoma, and Kelsi Tucker of Senath, Missouri; one great-grandson, Augustus Wulf Henegan of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. Dallas was preceded in death by his parents; sister; twin sons; wife; and brother. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Kevin Swain officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery near Steele, Missouri. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
