Mervil Ervin, 81, of Clarkton, Missouri, passed away January 4, 2018, at his home.
He was born on December 10, 1936, in Corning, Arkansas, and was the son of Fred and Bessie Irene (Hefner) Ervin.
He was united in marriage to Beulah Kattie Cashion on January 19, 1990.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Freddie Ervin; and his sister, Barbara Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Beulah Kattie Ervin of Clarkton, Missouri; four sons; two daughters; several grandchildren; stepson, Alan Robertson (Twyla) of Malden, Missouri; three stepdaughters, Mary Robertson of Malden, Missouri, Annette Shephard of Campbell, Missouri, and Krystal Gaspar of Clarkton, Missouri; step grandchildren: Israel Gaspar and Cristian Alexander Gasper; brothers: Carmon Ervin (Betty) of Austin, Texas; Floyd Ervin (Linda) of Paragould, Arkansas, Glendal Ervin (Una) of Corning, Arkansas, Kenneth Ervin of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Olen Ervin (Teresa) of Paragould, Arkansas, James Ervin (Janice) of Corning, Arkansas, and Gary Ervin of Paragould, Arkansas; sisters: Mazie Raney of Corning, Arkansas, Alice Williams of Corning, Arkansas, and Louise Barksdale of Corning, Arkansas; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with William Hill officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Spike Quawls, Cesar Gaspar, Allen Robertson, Chris Robertson, Kenny Blagg, and Jose Rivera. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Monday 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
