Michael Edward Stump, 37, of Rector, Arkansas, passed away August 24, 2017, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on June 18, 1980, in Paragould, Arkansas, and was the son of Loyd and Ruth Stone Stump. He was united in marriage to Julie Niewald on May 1, 2004. Survivors include his wife, Julie Stump of Rector, Arkansas; three children: Jacob Stump, Michael 'M.J.' Stump, Jr., and Makayla Stump all of Rector, Arkansas; parents, Loyd and Ruth Stump of Paragould, Arkansas; two brothers: James Stump and wife Missy of Paragould, Arkansas, and their children Christopher and Matthew, and Jason Stump of Paragould, Arkansas; sister, Michelle Knuckles and husband Ben and their children Jonathan, Zachary, and Joshua all of Oak Grove, Arkansas; maternal grandfather, Rudy Stone of Paragould, Arkansas; mother-in-law, Margie Niewald of St. Francis, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 28, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Chris Wilcox officiating. Burial is in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Dallas Stone, Daniel Clifton, Noah Morris, Ben Butler, Stanley Benson, Michael Haley, Tim Stone and Kevin Brock. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Sunday at 6:00 p.m.
