Mildred Bernice Jones, 87, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away January 18, 2018, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Piggott, Arkansas. She was born on February 16, 1930, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Flora Imogene Landrum. She was united in marriage to Ruel Jones when she was 16 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruel Jones; two sons: Roger and Michael Jones; and her mother, Flora Landrum Winstead Lack. Survivors include her son, Gregory Jones of Centerline, Michigan; her brother: Sam Winstead and wife Evelyn of Greenway, Arkansas; grandchildren: Stephanie Chambers and Robert Jones; and many other relatives. Funeral services were held Monday, January 22, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Jerry Morgan officiating. Burial was in Gravel Hill Cemetery near St. Francis, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was Monday 10:00 a.m. until service time.
