Millicent B. Hinkle, 90, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, at the Rector Nursing Home in Rector, Arkansas. Born on June 8, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Boyce Blake and Alma Mae (Sherraden) Blake. On May 29, 1955, Millicent was united in marriage to Charles Monroe Hinkle. Together, they shared 62 beautiful years of marriage and raised three children before his passing in 2017.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Charles; and her two sisters, Joyce Tanner and Robbie Simpson.

Her legacy lives on through her family. She is survived by one brother, Wayne Blake and his wife, Jackie; her three children: Charles Lane Hinkle and his wife, Janie, of Piggott, Arkansas; Lisa Ann Lancaster and her husband, Lanny, of Little Rock, Arkansas; and Thad Frank Hinkle and his wife, Michele, of Dover, Arkansas. She was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren: Seth Lane Hinkle (Tawney), Chase Owen Hinkle (Cori), Carlee Hays Hinkle, Sydney Michele Johnson (Garrett), and Grant Evan Lancaster. She also leaves behind three precious great-granddaughters, Charli, Loryn, and Ella, alongside a host of extended family members and dear friends.

Millicent was a lifelong, deeply devoted member of Wright's Chapel United Methodist Church since birth, where she faithfully served as the church treasurer and a Sunday school teacher for many years. She also dedicated 32 years of service to her community as a chief program assistant at the Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS), where she thoroughly enjoyed interacting with all the local farmers. Outside of her professional and church life, Millicent found great joy in sewing, quilting, traveling to visit her grandkids, and watching their events. Above all, she treasured spending time making lasting memories with her family.

The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Piggott Assisted Living and Rector Nursing Home, and Dr. Dennis Blake for all the compassionate, heartfelt services they provided to Millicent.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 12th at 12:00 pm Hoggard and Son’s Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel, with Mark Book officiating. Millicent will be laid to rest in the Piggott Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Seth Hinkle, Chase Hinkle, Grant Lancaster, Brant Tanner, Blake Tanner and Randy Hinkle.
