June Williamson, 86, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011, at her home.
She was born on February 9, 1925, in Pleasant Valley, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late James Lacy and May Moore Thompson.
She was united in marriage to Bernard Williamson on August 30, 1939, and to this union two daughters were born. Bernard preceded her in death on October 20, 2003.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Cindy Beutel; one brother, Nyle; three sisters: Ann, Opal, and Joyce; and one granddaughter-in-law, Misty Salyards.
She is survived by two daughters: Bernice Threatt and husband Jim of Pollard, Arkansas, and Joann Hughes of Piggott, Arkansas; five grandchildren: Brenda Johnson and husband Melvin of Jackson, Tennessee, Barbara Pounds of Piggott, Arkansas, Steve Stockton and wife Mona of Pollard, Arkansas, Michael Salyards of Piggott, Arkansas and Jimmy Threatt and wife Stephanie of Pollard, Arkansas; twelve great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren, one great-great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Lacy Thompson and wife Joann of Modesto, California, one sister, Faye Collier of Ceres, California, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Rob Welborn officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Pallbearers are. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
