Nelda L. McComb, 73, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012, at NHC Healthcare in Kennett, Missouri. She was born on August 20, 1938, in Qulin, Missouri, and was the daughter of the late Garland and Izora Boswell Johnson. She was united in marriage on January 24, 1959, to Ted McComb and to this union three children were born. She is survived by her husband, Ted McComb of Piggott, Arkansas; son, Joel McComb of St. Louis, Missouri; daughters, Debbie Taylor and husband Mark of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Rebecca Deal and husband Shane of Hanover, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren: Steven McComb, Shawn McComb, Lisa McComb, Shane Taylor, Brandi Deal, Hailey Douglas, and Jodi Carter; four great-grandchildren: Michael, Kylie, Garrett, and Caden; sister, Mary Jane Jack of Mount Pleasant, Michigan; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 29, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Kevin Murray officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Steven McComb, Shawn McComb, Richard Ward, Gary McComb, Rick McComb, Don Featherston, and Ken Mills. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
