On Saturday, May 30, 2026 my mother, Neva Watson, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. While our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort in knowing that her faith has become sight and that she is now in the presence of the Savior she loved and served throughout her life.

Mom was born on July 2, 1935, in Pollard, Arkansas, to Bert and Clara Watson. She lived a life defined by faith, love, kindness, and quiet strength. She was not someone who sought attention or recognition, but she touched the lives of many through her caring heart, her gentle spirit, and her unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

One of the greatest joys in her life was her church. As a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Piggott, she loved her church family deeply and found strength, purpose, and fellowship there.

To me, she was simply Mom. She was a source of encouragement and unconditional love. Through every season of life, she was there with a quiet determination that carried both her and me through joys and hardships. The love she gave will remain with me for the rest of my life.

Mom is survived by me, her son, Greg, and daughter-in-law, Christie; her granddaughter, Emily; her sisters, Shelba and Shirley; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who were blessed to know and love her.

There will be no visitation or funeral service, in accordance with her wishes.

Her earthly remains will be laid to rest at New Hope Cemetery beside her twin sister, Eva. While we will miss her every day, we rejoice in knowing that one day, through faith in Jesus Christ, we will see her again.

Until then, her love, her faith, and her memory will remain forever in our hearts.
